Herbert Frantz

Herbert R. Frantz, 87, passed away on Tuesday, February 26, 2019, at the Charlotte Hall Veterans Home.

Born on June 28, 1931, in Shenandoah, PA, he was the son of the late Herbert and Pauline (Miller) Frantz.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased in death by his wife Margaret (Anzelone) of 17 years and his sister, Eleanor Frantz. He is survived by his brother Robert Frantz, Sr., his niece Shelda Soltysiak and nephews Robert Jr. and Thomas Frantz.

He was a veteran in the U. S. Marine Corps.  He entered as a private and worked his way up to the rank of sergeant within three years of service. He was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.  He held various jobs working as an electrician and maintenance man but the joy of his life was training horses for several years.  He loved animals and enjoyed raising and training his dalmatian dogs.  He was a very kind and giving man and a devout christian. We will miss his smile and laughter.

In accordance with his wishes, Herbert was cremated.

A memorial service will be held at 1 pm on Thursday, July 18, 2019, at the Maryland Veterans Cemetery at Rocky Gap with Pastor Jim Buchanan officiating.
