Harry Skidmore

Harry Dale Skidmore, 88, of Frostburg, passed away Friday, December 30, 2022 at UPMC Medical Center. 

Born on March 27, 1934, in Eckhart Mines, to Percy Skidmore and Mary Catherine (Engle) Skidmore. He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Ervin "Bubby" Skidmore and Richard "Ted" Skidmore and daughter in law, Bonnie Skidmore.

Harry was a self-employed contractor for many years before retiring from Bill Miller Equipment. He enjoyed going to Myrtle Beach every summer.

Surviving are his wife of 69 years, Mary Skidmore; children, Mary (Edie) Garlitz and husband Allen, Sue Lafferre and husband Steve, Harry Dale Skidmore II, Tina Twigg and husband Gary; grandchildren, Tony Garlitz, Brian Garlitz, Sandra Garlitz, Penny Lapp, Candie Bittinger, Jeremy Miller, Harry Dale Skidmore III, Brandon Twigg, Shalona Twigg; 13 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren, a brother, Harold "Babe" Skidmore, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A private family funeral will be held with his nephew, Pastor Chris Skidmore, officiating.
