Harold Yutzy Sr,

Harold Yutzy Sr.,93, of Frostburg, passed away on Saturday, May 28, 2022, at UMPC Western Maryland.

Born on, March 29, 1929, to the late Elmer and Emma (Baker) Yutzy. In addition to his parents he is preceded by grandsons, Robert “Bobby” Yutzy and Jeremy Lynn Yutzy; sisters, Mae Hoover and Rosella Lottia; brothers, Frank, Ervin, Lloyd, and Coby Yutzy.

Harold was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He was Methodist by faith and a member of the Piney Mountain Hunting Club. He started as a timber man then moved to Chicago, IL and worked at the CE & I Railroad for 14 years. After his time spent in Chicago, he worked as Manager of Maintenance at Allegany Community College.

Surviving are his wife of what would be 73 years on June 11th, Beatrice Helen (Jones) Yutzy; children, Harold Yutzy Jr., Elmer Joseph Yutzy, Robert Ellsworth Yutzy and wife Marilyn, Virginia Jane McKenzie; grandchildren, Joseph Yutzy, Brandon Yutzy, Beth “Yutzy”, Tonya McKenzie, Shawn Yutzy, Eric Yutzy, Stephanie Yutzy, Christina Hampton and Isiah Frazier; great-grandchildren, Alexis Kniseley, Octaiva Duncan, Shyanne Yutzy, Shareece Fraizer, Steven Yutzy, Jonathan Yutzy, Devin Matthews, Gina Fraizer, Summer Yutzy, Dylan Yutzy, Blaze Yutzy, Ghavin Clayton, Kailey Yutzy, Cadence Clayton, Carl Hampton, Madison Yutzy, Eevah Yutzy, Paisley Craig and Jadon Arnold; great-great grandchildren, Shawn Mills, Silas Butler, Lilly-Ann Mills, Dexter Butler, and Naomi Yutzy.

Family and friends will be received at Durst Funeral Home, 57 Frost Avenue, Frostburg, MD on Wednesday, June 1, 2022, from 2 pm to 4 pm and 7 pm to 9pm.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, June 2, 2022, at 11 am with Rev. George Harpold officiating. Pallbearer’s: Eric Yutzy, Isiah Frazier, Brandon Yutzy, Ghavin Clayton, Steven Yutzy, and Devin Matthews.

Interment will be in Emmanuel Methodist Cemetery.
