Harold Franklin “Frank” Jenkins , 81, of Frostburg, passed away on Sunday, September 8, 2019 at the WMHS Regional Medical Center.
Born on May 25, 1938, to the late Wilber James and Mary Genevieve Jenkins. In addition to his parents he is preceded by his sister, Sandra Cook.
Frank was a 1956 graduate of Beall High School and attended the University of Maryland. He was a member of St. Michaels Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus #1442, Frostburg. Frank owned and operated Jenkins Collison Center and was also a drag racer with Pro Stick racing.
Surviving are his wife of 59 years, Martha; his daughter, Cassia Jenkins and husband Joe Kirby, their children, Michael, Nathan and Joshua Kirby; son, James Joseph Jenkins and wife Mary Grace, their children, James Joseph Jr., Shannon Nicole, Patricia, Bella and Emma; son, Franklin Jay Jenkins and wife Daphanie, their children, Tawney Jayne and Sawyer Getty; great grandchildren, Oliver, Jax and Xander; brother, Wilber “Butch” Jenkins Jr. and wife Phylis; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Frank was cremated in accordance with his wishes.
Family and friends will be received at Durst Funeral Home, 57 Frost Ave, Frostburg, MD, on Thursday, September 12, 2019, from 4 to 6 pm. The Knights of Columbus #1442 will have service at 5:45 pm.
A Funeral Mass will be held at Divine Mercy Parish, St. Michaels Catholic Church, Frostburg, on Friday, September 13, 2019 at 11 am with Father Eric Gauchat OFM CAP
