Francis Ronald Valenzano, 66, of Salisbury, Maryland and formerly of Eckhart Mines, died on December 3, 2020 at the University of Maryland Hospital in Baltimore after a brief illness.
Born on December 12, 1953 in Frostburg, he was the son of the late Arthur and Amelia (Emily) Taccino Valenzano. He was preceded in death by his brother Monsignor Arthur Valenzano in 2015.
Francis was a member of St. Michael Church and St. Francis DeSales Council 3489 of the Knights of Columbus. He was also a member of American Legion Post 64-Sons of the American Legion in Salisbury, Maryland.
He graduated from Bishop Walsh High School in 1972 and spent his working career in food service. In 2011 he retired and spent the next 9 years of his life in Salisbury, Maryland to be near his family. He enjoyed going to Ocean City; eating out with family; and attending his niece’s and nephew’s soccer, baseball, and lacrosse games.
Francis is survived by his brother and sister in law, John and Linda Valenzano of Ocean City, Maryland; his nephew Mark (Tammi) of Salisbury; and his nephew, Anthony (Allison) of Boulder, Colorado. He leaves behind his grandniece, Sophia Valenzano and two grandnephews, Luca and Brodie Valenzano.
Due to the COVID 19 Pandemic, there will be no viewing and the burial will be private
Interment will be in St. Michael’s cemetery and a memorial Mass will be celebrated in July 2021.
