Evelyn Kerns

91, of Frostburg, went to be with her Lord on February 10, 2018 at the WMHS Regional Medical Center.

Born on January 15, 1927, in Frostburg, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Elizabeth (House) Sluss. In addition to her parents she is preceded by her husband, George Kerns; siblings, Adalph Sluss, James Sluss, Helen Cozad, Mary Susan Ross, Cecil Sluss and LaDonna Parker.

Evelyn was a founding member of Liberty Christian Fellowship, Cresaptown.

Surviving are her daughter, LaDonna K. Smearman and husband Joe; two grandchildren, Mark Smearman and wife Amanda, and Cassandra Smearman; great-grandson, Jaxson; sister, Edwina Ann Day and husband George; caring brother-in-law, Dale Parker; nephews, Chris Day and wife Jennifer, Scott Day and wife Makayla and Richard Dick Sluss and wife Lois; and great nieces and great nephews

Family and friends will be received at Durst Funeral Home, 57 Frost Ave, Frostburg, MD, on Monday, February 12, 2018, from 4-6 pm.

Services will be held on Tuesday, February 13, 2018, at 11 am at the Liberty Christian Fellowship, 14200 McMullen Hwy SW, Cumberland, MD, with Rev. Gary Gordon officiating. Friends will be received one hour prior to the service.

Interment will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens.
