Evelena Drees

A. Evelena Drees, 90, of Frostburg, passed away on Sunday, November 22, 2015 at the Frostburg Village Nursing Care Center.
Born August 27, 1925 in Finzel, she is the daughter of the late George H. and Dessa Delena (Minick) Drees. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by two sisters, Evelyn and Irene Drees; one brother, Ervin Drees; a brother-in-law, Ray T. Fike
Evelena was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church, Frostburg. She loved to crochet and was known for her beautiful pieces that she gave to her great-nieces and great-nephews.
Surviving is her sister, Lilly C. Fike, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received at Durst Funeral Home, 57 Frost Ave, Frostburg, MD, on Friday, November 27, 2015, from 4-7 pm.
A funeral mass will be held at St. Michael Catholic Church, 44 E. Main St., Frostburg on Saturday, November 28, 2015, at 11 am, with Father Ed Hendricks as celebrant.
Interment will follow in Finzel Cemetery
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations, in Evelena’s name be made to the Finzel Cemetery, 28 Old School House Road, Frostburg, MD 21532 or St. Michael’s Catholic Church 44 E. Main Street, Frostburg, MD 21532.
