Eugene Baker

Eugene Baker, 77, of Frostburg, died Thursday, March 3, 2016, at the Frostburg Village Nursing Care Center.

Born on November 26, 1938, in Frostburg, MD, he was the son of the late Arthur and Elizabeth (Bugosh) Baker.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Richard “Dick”, William and an infant brother; and sisters, Mary Elizabeth Preston and Irene Hutcheson.

Eugene loved and cared for all his family, especially spending time with his grandchildren and his great grandchildren.  He was hard working, cutting wood and mowing lawns even at age 76.

Surviving are his wife of 52 years, Catherine (Bittinger); daughters, Lisa Ann Taylor and husband Gregg, Frostburg, Tashia Lynne Baker and husband Robert “Rob” Robertson, Frostburg; son, Robert “Bob” Eugene Baker; grandchildren, Jonathon Fadeley, Shannon Seib, Bret Baker and fiancé Peyton Brown, Cody Baker, Jamey Baker, Breanna Taylor, Corey Taylor and Brandon Robertson; great grandchildren, Sydnye Brode, Trenton Fadeley; brothers, Thomas Baker, his twin, and Vincent Baker and wife Dorothy; sisters, Anna Mae Adams, Angela Garlitz and husband Roy, Patricia Blubaugh and husband Bill, Jeanette Garlitz and Cecilia Sites and husband Charles; longtime family friend, Ann Martz; daughter-in-law, Tricia Broadwater; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received at Durst Funeral Home, 57 Frost Ave., Frostburg, Md, on Saturday, March 5, 2016, from 9-11 am.

Funeral services will follow at 11 am with Rev. Patricia Blubaugh officiating.

Interment will be in Frostburg Memorial Park.
