Enid Pauline (Musser) Kennedy, 87, passed away into our Lord’s hands on July 7, 2014, at home, with family beside her.
Born in Berlin, PA, on October 9, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Lee M and Elizabeth (Imhoff) Musser.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Lois Stutzman and her husband Clair, and her brothers, Robert Musser and Clair Musser
Enid was a graduate of Stonycreek Township High School and Memorial Hospital School of Nursing and was a former employee of the Allegany County Health Department. She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Frostburg, where she served on the Church Council and was past President of WELCA. She was also a long time member of the Bell Choir. Enid was a past member of Maplehurst Country Club and a member of WGA. She participated in the Harvard Medical School Nurses’ Health Study from its inception in 1976. She enjoyed traveling, photography, quilting, knitting, reading, golf and bridge.
Surviving are her husband, Kenneth K. Kennedy; daughters: Lynn Fike and husband Kenneth, Andrea DePalatis and husband Paul, Dr. Lorri Rumburg and husband Russell; grandchildren: Dr. Gregory Fike and wife Melissa, Carey Fike Williams and husband Cornell, Christopher Fike and fiancé Caitlin Monahan, Angela DePalatis, Michael DePalatis and wife Amy, Jess Rumburg and wife Julia and Rob Rumburg; sisters-in-law: Phyllis Musser of Buckstown, PA and Alice Jean Musser of Shanksville, PA, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Enid and her family especially wished to thank Dr. Gregory Donaldson for his unfailing concern and efforts on her behalf, and also, Brittany White and Tammy Quesenberry of Tender Loving Home Care for their kind assistance for these past eight months.
