Ellen Sperry-Lewis

Ellen Marie (Witt) Sperry Lewis, originally from Hancock, MD passed away on Tuesday, July 30, 2013 at Williamsport Nursing Home.
Mrs. Lewis was born in Eckhart Mines, MD; she is the daughter of the late George and Marie Witt Sr. She is preceded in death by her husband John Lewis and one brother, Charles Witt.
Ellen is survived by three children; William Sperry and wife Joyce, Glen Burnie, MD, Russell Sperry and wife Joyce of Hancock, MD, and Della Gleeson and husband Warren, Cable, OH; sister, Kathleen Anderson and husband James, CA; brothers, Paul Witt, Leesburg, FL, Howard Witt, Leesburg, FL, and George Witt, Paoli, FL. Also surviving are nine grandchildren and a number of great grandchildren.
She was a former member of St. Peters & Paul Church, in Cumberland, MD and St. Michaels, in Frostburg, MD.
The family will receive friends at Durst Funeral Home, 57 Frost Avenue, Frostburg on Friday, August 2, 2013 from 9 am to 11 am with the funeral services to follow at 11 am with Fr. Gregory Chervenak as celebrant.
Interment will be in St, Michaels Cemetery, Frostburg, MD
