Doris Bendle

Doris L. Bendle, 84, passed away on January 21, 2022 at UPMC Western Maryland Hospital.

Born on December 8, 1937 to the late Nellie Mae (Layman) and Marshall A. Croston. Mrs. Bendle was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lawrence Bendle; daughter, Terri Robinson; one grandson, Tyler W. Bendle; and two sisters, Betty L. Croston and Blanche C. Bender; brother, Jimmy Croston.

Doris worked as a house keeper at Frostburg Village Nursing Care Center. She was a member of Vale Summit United Methodist Church and enjoyed bowling, ceramics and fishing.

Surviving are one son Lawrence Allen Bendle, Loartown; two grandsons, Brandon and Blake; one sister, Thelma Yates, Clarysville; two brothers, Gary Croston and wife Linda, Clarysville, and Paul Croston and wife Sharon, Winchester, VA; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held at Durst Funeral Home, 57 Frost Avenue, Frostburg, MD on Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at 12 Noon with Rev. George Harpold Officiating.

Interment will follow in Vale Summit Cemetery.
