Donna Pyles

Donna Lee Pyles-McKenzie, 80, of Frostburg, MD passed away on June 26, 2024 is now waiting for the return of our Lord.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Carl V. Bittinger and Bernadine Broadwater-Bittinger also her first husband, Wayne McKenzie and her second husband Eldon W. Pyles; a beloved son, Gary McKenzie and his wife Beverly McKenzie as well as a brother, Carl Bittinger.

Donna was a homemaker to 8 children as well as a CNA, health care worker. She owned her own personal care home which she provided exceptional care to her patients. She was a very compassionate woman and never met a stranger.

She will be greatly missed by her family.

She is Survived by 7 of her children, Bernard (Judy) McKenzie, of Meyersdale, Darlene (James) Buxton, Grantsville, Rita (Jamie) Wright Berrien, Springs MI, Albert (Laverne) McKenzie Baker, WV, Kenny (Brenda) McKenzie, Frostburg MD, Doug (Merry) McKenzie, Frostburg, MD, Beth (John) Magruder, Frostburg MD; two sisters, Frances Pratt, Christina Poland and one brother, Randall Bittinger. She is also survived by grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

We were given one of the greatest blessings God can give you. What a wonderful caring mother we had, she was there any time day or night for her children. We were so blessed to have her in our lives. Our mom was a praying mom who's going to pray for me now.

She will be viewed at Durst Funeral Home Frostburg, MD on Sunday June 30th 2-4 and 7-9 with a Funeral Services at the funeral home, July 1st @ 1:00 P.M.

Interment will be at United Methodist Cemetery.
