Donald "Meach" Blank

Donald W. “Meach” Blank, 86, of Frostburg, passed away on Tuesday, September 22, 2015, at WMHS Nursing and Rehab Center, in Frostburg.
Born on December 11, 1928 in Mt. Savage, he is the son of the late Winard and Evelyn (Williams) Blank. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Norma Lee (Anthony) Blank; sister, Norma Lee Stevens and husband Darrell; brother, Robert Blank; brother-in-law, Mickey Anthony. He was the last remaining member of his immediate family.
Meach was a retired contractor and brick mason, who enjoyed horseshoes, sports and gardening. He was a member of Frostburg Moose Lodge #348.
Surviving are his two daughters, Janet L. Blank and partner Chris Orndoff, Denise Langley and husband Tom, all of Frostburg; two grandchildren, Tammi Becker and husband Jason, Jason Langley and Partner Lisa; two great grandchildren, Jayci and Charlie; sister-in-law, Ruthie Loar and husband Emery; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received at Durst Funeral Home, 57 Frost Ave, Frostburg, MD, on Thursday, September 24, 2015, from 5 to 7 pm.
Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Friday, September 25, 2015, at 11 am with Rev. George Harpold officiating.
Interment will be in Frostburg Memorial Park.
