David Bolden

October 12, 1953 — May 14, 2017

David Eugene Bolden, 63, passed away on Sunday, May 14, 2017, at the Winchester Medical Center following a lengthy illness.

Born on October 12, 1953, in Frostburg, he was the son of the late Oliver W. and Evelyn L. (Boyer) Bolden.

David was member of the 1972 class of Beall High School, retired from ATK as a machinist, a member of St. Mary’s Church of Pocahontas, Piney Mountain Sportsman Club and Kennells Mill Sportsman Club. He enjoyed hunting in his spare time and most of all enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was an easy going man with a simple life who would lend a helping hand to anyone in need. David also enjoyed sharing good laughs from time to time with his friends at Cindy’s.

Surviving are wife, and best friend, Debra M. (Folk) Bolden; daughter, Rhiannon M. Bolden and son-in-law, Ronald Puller; grandchildren, Santanna and Reth Puller all from Stephens City, VA; brothers, Donald Bolden, Ohio, Dean Bolden and wife Laura, Finzel, Doug Bolden and wife Linda, Warfordsburg, PA; sister, Denise Eckhart and husband John, Cumberland; Aunt, Sylvia Baer, Frostburg; sisters-in-law, Tammy McKenzie and Jane, LaVale, Robin Anderson and Leslie, Grantsville; stepfather-in-law, Robert Vanmeter, Frostburg; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and good friends.

Family and friends will be received at Durst Funeral Home, 57 Frost Avenue, Frostburg, MD Thursday, May 18, 2017 from 3 PM to 9 PM.

Funeral service will be held at Durst Funeral Home, Friday, May 19, 2017 at 11:00 AM with Father Jack Lombardi, St. Peter & Patrick’s of Hancock, officiating.

David was cremated in accordance with his wishes.

Honorary Pallbearers are; Ronald Drees, Kenny Robeson, Randy Baker, Denny Dunn, Danny Baer, Kevin McKenzie and Austin Willis.

He will be greatly missed by many.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be sent to the Shenandoah Oncology Angel Fund at 400 Campus Boulevard, Ste. 100, Winchester, VA 22601.
