Catherine Rhoads

Catherine (Reagan) Rhoads, 80, formerly of Mount Savage, passed away at the home of her daughter on January 25, 2017 in Fallston, MD.

Catherine was born October 31, 1936, in Mount Savage, to the late Clement and Leona (Wolfe) Reagan. She is also preceeded in death by her brother Clement, and three sisters, Mildred Clark Buckley, Eleanor Baker and Mary Theresa Bruhn. She is survived by her sister Sarah Newman also of Mount Savage.

Catherine retired early in her profession as a school teacher. She taught in Frederick County, Panama Canal Zone, Anne Arundel County and Houston, TX. Catherine and her husband Hal met in Panama and shortly thereafter wed and moved to LaVale, Md.  They raised their three children in Dover, DE. She dedicated her days to her husband and children as a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband Hal X Rhoads, and their three children: David Rhoads and wife Melissa, Schertz, TX and their daughter Megan; Sharon Wolff and husband Michael, Fallston, MD and their children Justin, Kayla and Luke; Susan Thompson and husband Mark, Lititz, PA and their children Adam and Ryan.

A funeral service will be conducted at St. Patrick’s Church, 15706 St Patrick’s Church Rd, Mt Savage, MD 21545 on Saturday, February 4, 2017 at 10:00am with FR. John Paul officiating.

Interment will be at St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Mount Savage, MD.

Friends and family will be received afterward at St. Patrick’s Church hall.
