Catherine LaRue

Catherine Darlene (Allen) LaRue , 76, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 20, 2020, at her home surrounded by her family.

Born on July 15, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Malcom George and Betty Lee (Simmers) (Densmore) Allen.

Darlene was a 1961 graduate of Beall High School and attended Allegany College of Maryland and Frostburg State University.  She worked at the Kelly Springfield Tire Company and retired from the Brandenburg Center.

Surviving are her loving husband of 55 years, Leroy Martin LaRue; son, Troy Martin LaRue and wife Gloria Broadwater. North Carolina; daughter, Tara Michele LaRue and friend Timmy Shelton, Frostburg; grandchildren, Channing Ashton Craze, California, Chai LaRue Craze and boyfriend Brandon Shockey, Chatia Raine Craze, Chantel Marie Craze, all of Frostburg, Shane Martin LaRue, North Carolina; sister Brenda Lee (Allen) Andrews and husband Brady; nephew, Brogan Andrews; lifelong friends, Judy, Hazel, Patsy and Dottie; and many more friends and relatives.

Darlene’s family would like to thank the Home Health Care Team, Joanne, Kari, Lori, Sheri and Amy Twigg.  These women took great care of her.

What Huntington’s Disease cannot take from you: It cannot take away your faith, shatter your hope or lessen your love.  It cannot destroy true friendship, invade the soul or take away eternal life.  It cannot conquer your spirit.  Rest in Peace.  We love you more than you will ever know.  Love always, your family.
