Bradley Shawn Winner, 36, passed away on August 20, 2021, unexpectedly at his new home in South Carolina.
Born on August 1, 1985, to Jerry Lee Winner and Cindy Merbaugh-Winner.
He is preceded in death by his father Jerry Lee Winner, maternal grandparents, Chuck and Joan Merbaugh, and paternal grandfather, Harry Winner.
Bradley was a graduate of Meyersdale High School Class of 2004,and went on to join the Marine Corps where he served in Iraq. He achieved the Rifle Marksman Badge, Pistol Expert Badge and National Defense Service Metal. After his time in the military, he went to school at PIA (Pittsburgh Institute of Aeronautics) and went on to work for American Airlines on line maintenance.
Brad loved to hunt and fish. He also enjoyed all sports with his buddies and was a die-hard Steelers and Penguins fan. He loved to get together with family and friends, and told stories just like his dad. His laughter was contagious and would leave everyone crying with laughter.
Surviving are his mother Cindy Winner; brother, Zachary Winner; sister, Ashley Winner; long-time significant other of nine years, Nikita Miller; paternal grandmother, Carolyn Crowe; aunts, Melanie Gray and husband Rick; Melanie Merbaugh and significant other Sandy Whetstone, Sharon Lancaster and husband John, Jill Winner; uncle, Edward Merbaugh and wife AJ; best buddies, Travis Hoover, Dan Ackerman and Bryan Harris; and numerous cousins.
Family and friends will be received Monday, August 30, 2021, at Durst Funeral Home from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. and 7:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M.
Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, August 31, 2021, at Divine Mercy Parish at 11:00 A.M. with Fr. Ed Hendricks.
Bradley will be cremated in accordance with his wishes.
The family would like specially thank the American Airlines, where he worked, for all their compassion and travel needs to have Bradley home.
