Bobby James Ziler, 55, passed away on Wednesday, December 17, 2020, at UPMC Western Maryland resulting from cardiac arrest due to Covid 19.
Born on June 11, 1965, in Frostburg, he was the son of Mary (Russell) Ziler and the late Irvin “Buck” Ziler.
In addition to his father, was preceded in death by his grandparents, James and Marie Ziler and James and Catherine Russell.
Bobby graduated from Beall High School in 1983. He worked for Maryland Department of Corrections until forced to retire in 2017 due to an injury. He was currently working at Closet Maid as a security guard through Securitas.
He was always happy and joking. He was always a friend and would drop anything he was doing to help people. He had many “brothers” who will never be forgotten by his wife, Georgi. They were there through thick and thin, through all the hard times through their common bond.
Surviving in addition to his mother are his wife, Georgi (Campbell) Ziler; daughter, Tara and fiancé Nathan Huff, Frostburg; stepdaughter, Kristin and husband George Hansrote, Spring Gap, MD; grandchildren, Karli and Matthew Huff; brother, Wayne Ziler and wife Sherri, McCoole, MD; and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
In accordance with his wishes, he will be cremated. Anyone who knew him well, knew he didn’t want a fancy viewing. There will be a memorial service at a later date when it is allowed.
