Betty Lou Dawson, 91, passed away on Tuesday, August 08, 2017, at HeartField Assisted Living of Frederick.
Born on August 28, 1925, in Frostburg, she was the daughter of the late Bernard and Viola (Kennell) Chaney.
In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband, George V. Dawson in 1991; granddaughter Patty Ann Myers; and sister Nancy Chaney.
Mrs. Dawson loved her family and loved spending time around them.
Surviving are her daughters, Karen Kelly and Nancy Keenan; granddaughter, Kristina Hawse; and sister, Bonnie Wiebrecht.
Family and friends will be received at Durst Funeral Home, 57 Frost Avenue, Frostburg, MD, on Thursday, August 10, 2017, from 10-11 am. A funeral service will follow at 11 am with Rev. George Harpold officiating.
Interment will follow in Frostburg Memorial Park.
