Beatrice Helen Yutzy, 91, passed on Wednesday, December 25th, 2024 at her residence.

She leaves behind her children; Harold Yutzy Jr, Elmer Joseph Yutzy, Robert Ellsworth Yutzy, and Virginia Jane (Yutzy) McKenzie; 11 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and 7 great-great grandchildren; and her sisters, Amelia Finzel, Norma Jean Lavin, Frances Starcher, Alice Umphrey; and brother, Charles E. Jones.

Born on March 7, 1933, in Frostburg, MD, the đaughter of late Henry E. and Sarah Jane (Smith) Jones. She was the 2nd of 11 children. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her devoted Husband of 72 years; Harold Yutzy.

In her earlier years, Beatrice attended Johnson School in Finzel, MD and Grantsville High

School, in Grantsville MD. She, her husband, and children moved to Chicago IL where they resided for 11 years before returning with her family to Frostburg MD where she then remained. She was employed by Sluss General Store for 4 years, and Al's Motel and Restaurant for 3 years. She retired from Frostburg State University after 22 years of employment.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, reading, sewing, and most importantly, time with family.

Graveside Services will be held at Emmanuel Methodist Cemetery on Monday, December 30, 2024 at 10 am with Rev. George Harpold officiating.
