Arvil Charles Garlitz
95, of Frostburg, passed away Saturday, December 26, 2015 at Frostburg Village Nursing Care Center.
Born on September 18, 1920 in Frostburg, to the late Norman Garlitz and Rhonda (Robison) Garlitz. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Betty (Turner) Garlitz; three sisters; Pansy Wilson, Evelyn Winebrenner, and Mildred Baker, six brothers; Clarence, Elmer, Esco, Vernard, Gilbert, and Raymond Garlitz.
Arvil was a member of the Frostburg United Methodist Church. He was a WWII Army veteran serving in the Phillipines and a member of Farrady Post 24 American Legion. He was a retired kiln fireman from Kaiser Refactory.
Surviving are two children, a daughter Linda Ann Garlitz, and son Gerald Lynn Garlitz, of Boston; a brother, William Garlitz, Hagerstown, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A private graveside interment was held at Mount Zion Cemetery.
