Arthur Harris

Arthur W Harris, 85, of Frostburg MD, passed away Sunday, October 29, 2023, at his home.

Born on November 29, 1937, to the late Elsie Harris and Leroy Harris. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Jenny Carder and Brother-in-law, Gene Patton.

Arthur was an avid hunter and fisherman, always ready to go when he had the opportunity.

He loved going to shooting matches and hanging out with his friends at Blanks Tavern. Arthur worked as a truck driver for the Carl Belt Company before retiring in 1993.

He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Viva (Peach) Harris; his son, Arthur Harris and wife Barbara; daughters, Betty Morgan and husband Alan and Joann Harris. Also surviving are his sister, Anna Paton; brothers, Joe Harris, Lanny Harris and sister-in-law, Mary Helen. He leaves behind two special friends, Tom Steele and Chuck Walters; his grand dogs, Prada, Maggie, Jasmine and his precious cat, Kinky.

Upon his request Arthur's body will be donated to the State Anatomy Board of Maryland.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

We wish to thank all of our friends and family members who have reached out to us during Dad's illness. He was a loving husband and father, and will forever miss him.
