Alda A. Wade, 87, passed away on Saturday, March 21, 2020 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV.
Born on January 19, 1933, in Frostburg, she was the daughter of the late Bernard A. and Elnora (Garlitz) Minnick.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald R. Wade and her brothers Jackson Minnick, Millard Minnick and Bernard Minnick, Jr.
Alda was a 1949 graduate of Grantsville High School and was a member of Park Place United Methodist Church, LaVale.
She was a past member of Farrady Post #24 American Legion Auxiliary and was a former volunteer with the Republican Central Committee.
Alda loved spending time with her family. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed reading, sewing, and crocheting. She had a passion for nature and enjoyed spending time outdoors; she loved working in her yard and flower gardens and feeding the birds.
Surviving are her daughters Deborah A. Cowder and Patricia G. Foster and husband Robert; stepson Michael R. Wade and wife Shirley; stepdaughters Joan M. Wade, Linda Durr and husband Gary; brothers Robert N. Minnick and Lettie, and Steven T. Minnick; grandchildren Abby C. Foster and husband David Pardo; Gregory L. Foster and wife Elizabeth Springfield; and Mark H. Foster and friend Corrina Strever; great-grandchildren George E. and Ezra H. Pardo. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
At Alda’s request there will be no services.
Interment will be in Frostburg Memorial Park.
