Alana Gaynor

Alana “Kay” Gaynor, 73, passed away on Thursday, February 25, 2021 at UPMC Western Maryland Hospital.

Born on August 2, 1947 in Frostburg, she was the daughter of the late Patrick W. and Catherine (Welsh) Purbaugh.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her son, Dean Gaynor; brother, Patrick Purbaugh Jr. and James D. Purbaugh. She was the last remaining member of her immediate family.

Surviving are her son, Darin Gaynor and her grandchildren; Ryan Gaynor, Kelley Gaynor and Zachary Gaynor.

In accordance with her wishes, Kay will be cremated and there will be no services.

Interment will be in St. Michaels Catholic Cemetery.
